 Shatha Amjad Hassoun Alshamery (Arabic: شذى أمجد حسون الشمري‎) (born March 3, 1981 in Casablanca, Morocco) better known as Shatha Hassoun (Arabic: شذى حسون‎) is an Iraqi singer, who rose to fame as the winner of the 4th season of the pan-Arab television talent show Star Academy Lebanon. She was the first female to win the competition. She is currently one of the most popular singers in both the Middle East and Maghreb region, and is referred to as the "daughter of Mesopotamia.
Haifa Wehbe (Arabic: هيفاء وهبي‎) in Mahrouna, Lebanon is a Lebanese model, actress, and singer who rose to fame in the Arab world as runner up for Miss Lebanon and later through the release of her debut album Houwa El-Zaman (Arabic: هو الزمن‎) in 2002 and is best known through her music for her sex appeal, provocative mannerisms and image, Wehbe is also widely considered a sex symbol in the Middle East. She has so far released four studio albums and made her acting debut in 2008 Pepsi-produced film "Sea of Stars". Wehbe is one of the most well-known female singers in the Arab World and is considered one of the most successful Lebanese singers. In 2006, she was on People Magazine's 50 most beautiful people list.

Gad Elmaleh was born in April 19, 1971 in Casablanca is a Moroccan humorist and actor. He has always claimed his Moroccan-Jewish origins and is a well respected and beloved figure in both Morocco and France.

















 

Youssef Slimani known by Chico

Yousseph 'Chico' Slimani was born in Wales, but moved to Morocco when he was a baby. Until the age of 13 he was in Morocco working as a mountain goat herder, then he moved back to the UK at 14 to live in Crawley, West Sussex. Chico has had a number of jobs in his life. He was a hairdresser and also an electrician, before joining exotic dance troupe Extreme Force, to raise money for his ill grandmother. He then auditioned for The X Factor. Chico says he practiced his singing most in the bathroom, and he grew up with Arabic and Indian music.

Chico was mentored by manager Sharon Osbourne during The X Factor competition. His dancing impressed X Factor judges, and viewers grew fond of him, but he was voted out in the penultimate episode, failed to reach the final of the ITV talent show. Shayne Ward eventually won in December 2005. Slimani's original song, "It's Chico Time" was planned to be released before Christmas. He eventually released the following year, February 2006 and it became #1 on 5th March 2006. He stayed at the top for two weeks. He is currently taking part in a nationwide X Factor tour.


Maryam Fares

Fares was born in Kfar Shlel, a small village in Southern Lebanon, near Kfarhata village. Fares' took ballet lessons from age five, and at age nine earned first place on Tele-Liban (Al Mawahib Al Saghira) in Oriental dance. She registered at the National Conservatory of Music and studied musicology for four years.  At age 16, she participated in the Lebanese Song Festival where she won first prize for the public Lebanese song nomination. At 17 she participated in Studio el Fan 2000, representing the district of South Lebanon and earned first prize.  At age 21, Fares signed her first record deal with Music Master International, and launched her debut album, "Myriam", on October 21, 2003. Her music video for the hit song "Ana Wel Shouk" became one of the most requested music videos as soon as it was broadcasted on local and cable television.
